A lot has happened

Since my last post, a lot has happened. I had my video visit with my primary care physician. It went well. I had a good conversation and the doctor explained quite a lot. 

I also submitted my online review players paper as well as my organizational structure and innovation paper to new journals for publishing. I am still experimenting with journals for the online review players paper. It is multidisciplinary and would be of interest to a lot of people. I sent the paper to a strategic management journal and then to a MIS journal. Those journals were not the right fit. The replies were swift and very supportive. One journal recommended a consumer behavior journal which was confusing. Another journal actually recommended two other journals. I think I am making progress with the organizational structure and innovation paper. I submitted it to a journal that hasn't replied as yet.

I am working on the compensation paper again. 

Update

 I submitted my online review industry players paper to a new journal. It took about 15 minutes and I get some exposure. I hope the journal likes the changes.

I also created a Research Spotlight in ResearchGate to feature my organizational structure paper. That took about 5 minutes.

I am happy to spend about half an hour a day submitting papers, writing, and so on to stay busy. This World Mental Health Day, my mental health is good. I am not sad or depressed. I try to stay positive and I am looking forward to better days.

Update

I was not working on revising and publishing my school papers for a while. There were papers being reviewed by journals but I stopped submitting new papers/articles. I was in Guyana doing other things. I accomplished some things in Guyana. I actually wrote a poem book for publishing! In May of 2024, I mentioned in this blog that my poem book was accepted for publishing. I expected the book to be published by the end of the year. It is taking longer than expected. A few weeks ago, I selected and signed off on a cover design for the book. Hopefully my poem book will be published by the end of this year.

While in Guyana, I heard back from two journals. However, I was unable to continue the process or complete what was requested because of resource constraints. I guess I missed out on publishing those papers.

Another Paper Submitted

I submitted another paper for publication today. The journal is: MIS Quarterly. The paper is on online reviews. I prepared a new version of my first signature assignment for publication.

I wanted to submit the paper to Cornell for publication since it is related to the paper I mentioned yesterday on responding to online reviews (I prepared the papers for the same course). I decided to submit it to another journal that does not focus on hotels or the hospitality industry. This paper discusses issues that are pertinent to all companies/industries. I hope the journal accepts it. The paper summarizes a lot of issues related to online reviews.

It was a busy day. I looked up the articles I selected, the categories and subcategories I used in the Literature Review outline, and so on. During the literature review course, I saved my selections in Refworks and Endnotes.
