I completed 11 signature assignments - significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. Independent Contributor

I am interested in why individuals choose to become specialists in their fields (independent contributor track) rather than a manager/leader and also why some may switch from the independent contractor track to the management track. I will look for prior research in this area.
