I completed 11 signature assignments - significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. What's Happening Today 5/17

My recent doctor's appointment went well. I need to complete the regular screenings (mammogram, cervical cancer screening, and so on) and see specialists for issues that I have. My doctor gave me a bunch of referrals for specialty services. I am working on setting up those appointments now.

I am about to eat some strawberries. I am also thinking about our society with its rules and expectations because of a post I just saw on LinkedIn about living on your own terms. "Stop following the rules, go against the grain, refuse to conform" the author advised. I don't think I know how to do what he is suggesting. When I think of going against the rules, I think of police and arrests and jail. I guess I am a conformist. I don't even wear eye-raising fashion. I will think about this some more later.

On the subject of acceptance of my papers for publishing, I received notification that one of the two papers I submitted recently will move on/forward to be reviewed by reviewers. I assume the other paper will too. I did not receive a rejection letter from the journal. I am currently working on modifying my paper on organizational structure and innovation. I am adding additional papers to the literature review.

Life continues.
