New Morning

6:30am

It is a good morning in Amelia's Ward, Linden, Guyana! I went out walking today. I walked the usual path with ease. Maybe I have more energy because of the hot chocolate I had yesterday.

It was a little misty out there. It was cooler than usual. I took some photos but they are completely useless (there was too much light).

I think it is going to be a good day.

Construction

There is a lot of construction around Amelia's Ward, Linden. There is construction of private homes as well as business places. The construction calls for loads of white sand and bricks that can be seen by construction site.

Update

 Good morning from Linden, Guyana!

I heard that there were Mashramani festivities in Linden yesterday. I was not in attendance. I went out shopping with my mother yesterday. We picked up quite a few items (drinks, cheese, eggs, and so on) from several supermarkets in Amelia's Ward.

I had some of the cheese. It was not as salty as I remember.

Where I am staying

I am staying in a "condo" in Amelia's Ward. I am not staying with my Mom (in same unit). There is also someone else occupying space here.

Memories

The Road of Memories (of Early Childhood)

I walked along the road to school with my mom

She taught me the song Morning Has Broken along the path

When events led to a new school, I needed to take the road to join a bus

I frequently ran out of steam along the road to catch the bus

The road I took to neighbors to deliver a message or attend a party

The road used as the ground for a cricket match that I watched from the verandah

The road I took to Sunday School a few times
